Felix y Los Gatos at Second Street Saturday

What a pleasant evening on the patio at Second Street!

We were sitting under trees, listening to Streets of Bakersfield as it somehow morphed into the streets of Santa Fe. A couple was dancing in the parking lot.

Later on The Gatos took pity on some itinerant saxophone player and let him sit for a number or two.

Thanks Felix, Dave, & Mikey -- you sounded great.

Wednesday's 6-16 Open Mic

A fun evening. Peter Chang (on the right) dropped by and led off a couple. Check this one out.

Then of course there were the two young violin players, in town for some kind of workshop.

Here they are tearing up a number.

We are quite fortunate to have a bass section that is very tight. And close. And affectionate.

See you next Wednesday!

Wednesday's 6-9 Open Mic

It was a bit quiet at the opening of last Wednesday's session. By the time the evening wore on, though, a number of musicians had taken the stage.

We started the evening with a bit of Thelonious Monk's Straight, No Chaser.

Come on out and join us next Wednesday!

Wednesday's 6-2-2010 Second Street Open Mic

Short and sweet this week. We started out playing to a pretty full house last Wednesday.

Naiz dropped by early and led off with this number. Our friend Jim also came by for a bit and played a few. Check this one out.

Numerous other musicians came by for a visit. Spot anybody you know?

See you this coming Wednesday...
